Presensitized steel plate for smd photo etch stencil
Package of 3 presensitized steel plate for SMD (Surface Mount Device) stencil or photo etched parts. Manufactured by Rena Electronics Inc.
Make your own low cost SMD solder paste stencil or precise photo etched parts. Made with high quality 0.003â€(3mil) x 5â€x 7.5†steel plate, laminated both sides with photosensitive film. Use with MG Chemical’s developer and Ferric Chloride solution.

* Print Your Artwork on a transparency film using a laser or inkjet printer. The dark area of the film will be etched out from the steel plate.
* Expose Your Artwork by placing the transparency film on top of the presensitized plate. Expose the plate under a 32 watts fluorescent light for 15 minutes. Remove the artwork from the plate, put a piece of paper to cover your plate. Flip the plate over and expose the bottom side under the fluorescent light for 15 minutes.
* Prepare Developer Solution by mixing 500ml of water with 25ml of MG Chemicals Developer.
* Remove Protective Film from the plate by putting 2 pieces of a tape on the corner of the plate and then slowly remove the tape from the plate. The protective film will come off from the plate. Do the same with the other side of the plate.
* Develop the Plate by putting it into the developer solution and wash the plate with a soft brush for 3 minutes, you will see the image developed on plate. Wash the plate with clean water and blow-dry the plate.
* Etch Your Plate Using Ferric Chloride, place the plate into a plastic tray and put enough Ferric Chloride solution just to cover up the complete plate. Slowly rock the tray up and down, let it sit for 3 minutes Repeat the rocking action until all exposed steel is removed.
* Strip Your Plate, mix 500ml of warm water with 75ml of developer, put the stencil plate in the mixed solution and use a brush to wash away the photo film. Dry the plate with paper towel you are ready to use the stencil.
