The Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) makes this unit safe to use with your most precious electronics such as computers, refrigerators, televisions, power tools, etc... The AVR will regulate the output voltage for your devices to prevent excess or insufficient voltage during operation. The 6500ATS has ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) INCLUDED . How does ATS work or what does it do? The ATS enables your generator to start on its own during a power failure at your facility. For example, when the electricity goes out, the ATS will detect the power failure and start the generator automatically - supplying the necessary power to your facility. Once the facility's electricity is back on, the ATS will automatically and safely shut down the Longevity Generator so your facility's electricity can resume powering your home, warehouse, etc... The ATS system is a safe and convenient way to never be without power again.
