Locates the edges of studs or joists through drywall and other common wall materials at a maximum depth of 3/4." Electronic audio and visual signals are emitted once the edge of the stud is detected. Accurate within 1/8" of stud center for wood, 1/4" for metal. Automatic calibration switch for easy turn-on operation. High-impact, heavy-duty ABS case. Non-marring pads for wall protection. Pencil notch for marking stud edges. Automatic calibration switch. Requires a 9 volt battery (not included).
