New brand doorbell/automatic motion sensor device
Auto sensing mode to detect motion: This switch have built in rectifier, timer, relay, and holding circuit...etc. It enhances the convention door chime with automatic motion detection. The detection range had been set no greater than 20 feet for human sensing. It would detect a vehicle or light source at much greater range. So, the direction it faces plays an important role to prevent false signal.
Manual mode setting: It works just like regular low voltage (12~16volt) push button switch that is made for door bell and garage door opener switch. Except, it has polarity for DC circuit. The self contains LEDs would not lit up and the current will not pass thru if the 2 wires are in wrong polarity. Just swap wires to make it work. There is no effect on low voltage AC circuit.
You can install an "electronic doorman" in your garage if you prefer to utilize your existing door chime.
1. Mount the "electronic doorman" inside the garage to face the garage
2. Run a pair of wire from the "electronic doorman" to your door
3. Connect the pair of wire to the door chime terminal that labeled "rear
door" or terminal with no wire connection.
Noted: door chime usually have 3 terminals. "F front" "N Neutral" and “R rear". The front door push button switch usually connected to F and N. (The door chime ring the same tone if both pair of wire on F and N)
The wires from "electronic doorman" should connect to R and N. The R and N connection will sound a different tone to let you know each time the garage door open or close. There is a 15 second interval at null before "electronic doorman" activate for auto detection again.
Push the selective switch at the bottom of the unit from S to M. The M position of the switch disables the auto detecting function. The built-in lit LED push button switch can be use as courtesy device for advance notice to people inside the house.
