Old leather welder's hood goggles burning steampunk man
Entered at friendly price ... perfect raw material for Burning Man* or other steampunk style uses.
Here is an old leather welders hood with a built-in flip-up viewing window. It is in generally good condition .. the dark flip-up outer window is missing and in it's place is a good pair of clip-on Bausch & Lomb sunglasses. The aluminum frame of the flip-up window has steel clips that hold the glasses nicely in place. The inner window is clear lexan [or the equivalent]. The window apparatus is 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and works fine. The top of the hood has a drawstring tie .. it is knotted closed but doesn't have to be. There are 4 round brass screen vents at the top for air some air circulation. The last photo is a view of the inside. There is a copper penny for size perspective in the first 4 photos. *Note: Burning Man is a very large annual art event and temporary community [about 50,000 people] based on radical self expression and self-reliance in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. The event organizers don't allow the use of their BURNING MAN name in the listing title ... but I can use it in this description. Retro goggles and masks and protection from blowing sand are highly prized for this event.
