This micrometer is in very good condition. Numbers and graduations are sharp and legible as new. Satin chrome shows very little wear. The spindle turns smoothly through it's full measuring range and zeros out nicely on a 1" standard. The friction thimble and spindle lock work as they should. There is a name lightly engraved on the back of the frame, as you can see in the picture. There are many years of good use left on this classic Starrett tool.
