Indexing Turret, made up of precisely ground, heat-treated alloy steel, is engineered to fully extend the working capabilities of any lathe to assure maximum efficiency in precision and production.To simplify the set up, the SX2 Turret base is custom-machined to fit the cross-slide. Once mounted on the compound, the SX2 Turret operates with the full power of the lathe for turning, threading, and parting off. The SX2 turret is applied directly to the Cross Slide of the lathe. By a simple movement of the ball-handled lever, the turret is automatically unlocked, indexed to the next tool position and relocked, ready for the next machining operation.
