HP/Agilent 75000 Series C VXI Mainframe, Model E1401A with Radisys EPC-7 486 Embedded Computer and 6 Plugins
The HP Agilent E1401A can accommodate 13 C-sized VXI modules. The VXIbus is a standard that combines the features of the HP-IB interface and the VMEBus and is supported by various instrumentation vendors. A wide variety of VXIbus compliant test equipment is available
The RadiSys / HP EPC-7 is a C-size VXIbus embedded computer based on the Intel 486 processor. It can perform 8-, 16-, and 32-bit VXIbus data transfers, both as master and slave, and can be the slot-0 and system controller and resource manager. The EPC-7 can be an interrupter and interrupt handler, and can drive and sample the TTL and ECL trigger lines. The EPC-7 is compatible with the IBM PC architecture and contains standard front-panel connectors for PC serial and parallel ports. The keyboard port is PS/2 style. In addition, the front panel contains a SCSI-2 port and cable connectors for external clock and trigger signals.
Cosmetic & Functional Condition: The "Rack handle" on the right side is missing/broken. The main frame powers up. The ECP-7 has a "system failed" led lit. No other testing was done.
Disassembly: If you are interested in the modules as opposed to the whole unit, we may be able to disassemble the unit and sell the parts seperately.
