F.w. bell model 640 incremental gaussmeter, gauss meter

Some info on this particular meter:
The 640 Gaussmeter is a precision magnetic flux measuring instrument, featuring high stability, solid-state construction. Measurement range extends from 1 mG (millgauss) per scale division (100 mG fs) to 30 kG (30 000G) full scale. With adapter can read to 100 kG ( 100 000 Gauss). Both DC and AC fields can be measured directly using the 4 1/2 inch panel meter. DC polarity is preserved for direction information when tracing and plotting fields. AC fields of up to 400 Hz are read out as an rms value for sine wave fields. Zero suppression and scale expansion controls permit incremental measurements. Also features proportional front panel output, rear panel auxiliary output amplifier for driving external equipment, and automatic change-over to battery operation.
Added 2/27/08 - I have had a few questions as to what the model number is of the probe for this unit. Accoreding to the manual, there are 110 different types of probes available for this meter for all sorts of various applications. Obviously, I can't list all of them here. There is some literature with the manual on a bunch of various probes for this meter.
The probes carry an 8 digit model number (example : XXXX-XXXX). According to the manual and literature, The fourth character (or digit) in the model number indicates what type of meter the probe is for. A "4" for the fourth digit indicates that the probe is for the Model 640 meter. (example : XXX4-XXXX).
I have added a picture of a chart that is in the manual which explains what the segments of the probe model numbers mean. Hope it helps.
