We find these 3rd Hand gizmos particularly useful for assembling cabes, connectors, tinnig wire, gluing and other similar tasks. The magnifier isn't really powerful enough for surface mount work or inspection, but is adequate for through-hole work and the other applications mentioned.
The unit has a weighted base with two articulated alligator clip "hands" and an articulating mangnifier. Adjustable arms can be locked in place. These are all new in retail clamshell packaging.
