NEW OKI - Metcal SMTC-1147 OKI / Metcal SMT Rework Tip Cartridge for MX-RM3E & MX-500 Series Systems, 700°F, 3.30mm (.13") Hoof Tip
Blade tip cartridges may be used with desolder braid to clean up the pads for both two and four-sided components regardless of the lead configuration or pitch. Multi-lead speed soldering tip cartridges may be used for replacing most component configurations, gull-winged and J-lead, regardless of the number of leads or the lead pitch. The "hoof" tip cartridge (shaped like a horse's hoof) is designed for "drag soldering" techniques and is recommended where component access is not a problem. The "mini-hoof" cartridge is designed for soldering of either PLCCs or QFPs in tight spaces. The "knife" tip is designed for multi-lead soldering of PLCCs in tight spaces.
